Shh . . . Don't tell Braz, but I know how to write an entry all by myself! Actually, that is the theme with Emma lately. She wants to do it all by herself.
One of her favorite songs to sing is the Alphabet Song. We used to sing it together, but now I'm usually off the hook. I'll start singing it with her and she'll say "No, no mommy. Quiet! Shh. . . Me do it!" It's amazing to watch her. Anyway, she loves music and dancing. Braz recently took a video of her dancing to her Paula Abdul/Zoe movie (hey, don't knock it if you haven't seen it and multiple other programming for preschoolers, it's one of my favorite movies that we watch). I notice the movie hasn't made it up here. I don't know how to do that much, so I am petitioning you, the readers of Emma's web page. If you know Braz, harrass him. Tell him it's unacceptable. Let him know you want to see the dancing. Next, I'm going to work on him getting a video of her singing, so perhaps he could put both up here, if there is room. I'm not really sure how these things work. Whenever he starts pulling out the computer jargon on me I wonder if he really just doesn't want to do it. Anyway, the dancing video is really cute, so I hope we'll be able to share it with you.

Posted by: Matt on August 15, 2003 03:52 PMUm... because I'm painfully white, and anything that I touch that includes the word "dance" ends up looking like the ritualistic torture of groups of refugees?
That, and without the footpads and Britney Spears to fuel the Dance Dance Revolution, what's the point?
Posted by: mithy on August 18, 2003 09:39 AMYou say ritualistic torture of groups of refugees like it's a bad thing.
Ha-ha note to make up for my tastelessness: My freshman year at W&M, I was walking with some guys from my hall past the Wildflower Refuge, and one of them turned to the rest of the group and says, "Wildflower refugee?"
