A few things I don't want to forget:
Before school let out, on a day when I didn't watch anyone else's kids, just Sarah and I went to Target. She is very talkative when it's just her. She was running out of material, so she said, "Mommy! I cloud's coming". I played along and said, "A cloud's coming Sarah? What are we going to do?" She said "Get wet." I then responded with an, "Oh no! What do we need?" She said "A Towel!" Since that time, this has been a fun game that we've played. It drives Emma crazy, because she names the other things most of us think of when we realize we will be in a rain shower. She lists all of them: an umbrella; a raincoat; rainboots; a rain hat; to run indoors; to get out of the pool; to walk, not run; pajamas; hot chocolate; etc, etc. I've loved that Sarah has stuck to the towel. Yesterday, on the way to a 4th of July Party we were attending, Emma was continuing with her stream of various items that would work. Sarah said, "No, towel's best." I loved that. Sadly, today, when I tried to start up the cloud game, she decided what she needed was an umbrella. Can I say "Waaaaaaaa!"?!
OK, this is really embarrasing. I was thinking today, as I was driving home that there were 2 things I was going to put on this before I forgot. And, yep, you guessed it, I forgot the 2nd one. Well, huh. It was just there. Maybe next time!
