Frequently Emma imparts bits of wisdom that I keep telling myself I need to write down. Her babybook would be the obvious place for it. Sadly, I cannot find where I put her babybook. So, I decided to share 2 of the cutest most recent bits of wisdom relayed to me by my daughter.

1. "OLD"
Emma and I were going to Starbucks earlier this week.

Emma: "Is grocery store here?" (we frequently go from Starbucks to Ukrops, so she's now made that association).
Mommy: "Yes, Sweetheart, it's over there"
Emma: "Oh, is it old?"
Mommy: "I don't know, how old is old?"
Emma: "Um. . . 49"
Mommy: "Well, then, it's not old, but Marianne sure will be surprised to here that she's old"
Emma: "Yeah, better tell her"

2. Ukrops
Emma and I were going to the grocery store "to look for shapes". If Blues Clues is part of your life, you may recognize this from a Joe episode. It really works AND keeps her in the cart which is a huge blessing when it's just the 2 of us going grocery shopping. Anyway, Emma and I were going to Ukrops, but as I mentioned in Emma Wisdom #1, we frequently go to Starbucks first, as we were doing on this occasion. Emma knew where we were going. Braz called to say he was running really late at work.

(Phone rings, I answer, it's Braz.)
Mommy (to Daddy on phone): Don't worry about being late. We are on our way to Starbucks, then we have to go to Ukrops before heading home.
Emma: NO NO NO NO NO!
(I quickly got off the phone with Braz as he was busy with work.)
Emma: No Emma Mommy go to Daddy Krops. Emma Mommy go to My Krops.
Mommy: Oh, I see.
Emma: Yeah.
Mommy: OK, where's Daddy krops?
Emma: Um . . . over there! (points to the Shell gas station where Braz has been known to stop for Krispy Kreme Donuts).
Mommy: OK, so Daddy krops is the gas station?
Emma: Yeah, and car wash.
Mommy: Oh. OK. Is there a Mommy Krops?
Emma: Um . . . no. Yeah.
Mommy: Excuse me?
Emma: YES!
Mommy: Oh, good. I was worried. Where is Mommy Krops?
Emma: Right here! (pointing to the Starbucks we were about to go into)
Mommy: Your probably right. Where is Emma Krops?
Emma: The Grocery Store! Silly Mommy!
Mommy: Yes, silly Mommy. Of course, Ukrops is Emma Krops!

We finally had Emma's second birthday party last weekend, and amazingly, I've put the pictures up in less than a week!
