Sometimes, She's Right

So Emma decided she wasn't hungry today after church, even though the entire 3 minute ride home from church she talked of nothing but how hungry she was. I think it was because I fixed White Shells and Cheese instead of Mac-n-cheese. That's what you get for trying to mix it up with a 3 year old! Anyway, we knew we had to go grocery shopping and that we were planning on shopping at Wal-mart. Usually, if Emma's at all hungry at Walmart we will just stop at McDonald's and get her some "bok bok" (or chicken nuggets, for those who may not be in on the family lingo). We are trying to save money and not eating out unnecessarily, even for bok bok, is one of our ways to achieve this. So I told her I would pack her a healthy snack that she could eat if she got hungry.

I decided to pack raisins and peanuts. Something for the immediate release of sugar (raisins), and something for the long run (peanuts). She said, "No, mommy. I want something else, something healthy." She went to the refrigerator and brought me left over corn on the cob. "This, mommy, is a nice healthy snack". OK, she's right. It is. So her Walmart snack will be corn on the cob. I'll still bring the raisins and peanuts. You never know how desperate I might get. Braz can get grumpy hungry too!
