Different

Shh. . . I'm about to tell you something. Something that may make some judge me as a poor mother. If you are the judging type, stop right here. Don't read any farther. I would hate to tempt you to judge.

So, here's the story.

Sarah is growing fast. Today, she is taller than the underside of the table. She hasn't realized it yet. I have watched her today, at least a dozen times, try to walk underneath the table. Each time she hits her head, stops, looks at the table while she is rubbing her head, then she walks away. She comes back later to do the same exact thing. Emma was very different. She has always been a fast learner. She's also a drama queen. If Emma hit her head trying to walk under the table, she would scream about it, but then duck the next time. Sarah just simply seems baffled by the table. She is not getting angry, or having any episode about it, she just simply doesn't seem to understand why she could walk under the table yesterday, but today, she cannot. (Don't let me mislead you here, Sarah is not a mild tempered child. She is already, at the ripe age of 13 months, having temper tantrums. I guess it's good to be advanced in at least one area!) Perhaps I should intervene and show her she could duck. The problem is, it's just too damn entertaining!
