Just shy of 2,000 words yesterday - about four pages.

3,500 words - or around 7 pages - today.

About 2,500 of those last 3,500 were written in the last two and a half hours. Why yes, that is a thousand words an hour; thanks for noticing. And all of it, at least today, was really heavy emotionally-intense stuff. The bits that are going to close off the second love triangle of the novel and make it really full of extra-crunchy tension and guilt and stuff.

I feel like my brain's been sucked completely dry.

And yet, good.

There's a post-coital joke in there somewhere, I just know it, if only my brain wasn't too limp (I'm really trying, I know) to pick it up.
