Work Week
Writing

Just for my own edification, I want to post my goals for the week, for Work and Writing and the House.

At Work:
1) Lay out Delivry (sic) table items by CoB Wednesday.
2) Lay out Move and Customer items by CoB Thursday.
3) Build Move and Customer connections by CoB Friday.

Writing:
1) The Bag of Rocks trial. (Tues/Wed)
2) Convert one 'script. (Thur/Fri)
3) Finish reunion chapter with H. meeting K. and L. (Sat/Sun)

House:
1) Research desk and new shelving.
2) Start packing up comics. (Yeah, right. That's only been on my list of To-Do items for about six months...)

Ambitious. Guess I'd better get on with it.

And then they said...

Tuesday:

Work: Delivry table items done, except for one conversion I need help with.

Writing: 2000 words written, though less than 1000 of them were for the Bag of Rocks trial. That's going to be rather longer than I thought it would be. But I've changed it a little, so it's not quite so... contrived.

House: Shyeah, right.

Other Shit: Put gas in the car, picked up drugs from the drugstore, got my mom's and brother's birthday cards in the mail, went to the grocery store, changed the cat litter, made dinner, and put the leftovers away. (But I didn't do the dishes. Bad Lizzie.)

So it wasn't an altogether unproductive day. :-)

Oops, I'd meant to keep this updated all week.

Work: Got everything done reasonably quickly, huzzah, huzzah.

Writing: A little more complicated.

Wednesday: I tried to do some writing, got about fifty words in, and realized I had a Plot Problem. I struggled with it off and on all day, getting nowhere.

Thursday: I presented the Plot Problem to KT and asked her to help. She promised to think about it. I pondered it, coming up with three potential solutions, all of which were either awfully cheesy or unbelievable deus ex machina manifestations. I hoped KT would come up with something better.

Friday: She did, though it's a little complicated. But all the good ones are, I guess. I worked on a script some during the day. When I went over to her place, we spent a couple of hours hashing out the details. Then we sat down to write, and I finished the script - a total of 6000 or so words for the day.

So I didn't finish the Trial, but now I know how to finish it. And I did finish one script. I didn't get to the reunion at all, but I might do it today or tomorrow. Maybe. 8000 words in a week is pretty good as it is.

House: ::snort:: No way. Though I might hit a website or two for some furniture ideas.

All in all, a fairly successful week. :-)
