Most of the patterns for crocheted baby stuff I've seen in the last year or so have been either afghans, which take long enough to do that I'll never finish one; or yarn dresses, which just look stupid.

But when I was over at K.T.'s this weekend to do editing, she showed me a baby-sized sweater that dated from her own youth, and I thought, Hey. Sweaters are supposed to be made from yarn.

So I've done some poking around online, and found a few patterns that aren't completely dorky and hopeless. Tonight I took about an hour and a half to do the simplest of them.
