Keepin' It Real
Penny

I'd dressed Penny in a pink onesie that someone had given us.

But I really don't care for large quantities of pink. So I looked at her wardrobe and picked up a pair of denim shorts, thinking that would be just the thing to cut the pink to manageable levels.

The only thing is, the shorts are sized for babies somewhere in the 6-9 month range, according to the tag, so they were just a bit big on her. Okay, more than just a bit. They hang past her knees, and are goofily baggy.

Yo yo yo, Penny says. Keepin' it real for the homegirls. Lemme send a shout out to all m' peeps.

Yo, yo, yo!

And then they said...

What's the fuss? The whole baby's pink - why not the onesie?

Hey, I've gotten better. Time was, I'd have immediately returned all the baby clothes I received that had pink as a dominant color in them, just on principal. I really used to loathe pink. The thing is, I realized a couple of years ago that it really looks good on me, so I've relented, somewhat. But I still don't like all pink.

So if the baby is all pink, then obviously something must be done to cut back the effect.
