ToDo List
I just wrote a longish entry telling you about how Penny actually slept in longish chunks last night - three and nearly four hours, in fact. And just before hitting save, I stopped myself. No one except Matt and I care about the details. And only other parents of small children really care at all. So I erased it. You're welcome.
Penny starts daycare on Monday. Matt will take her in on his way to work, since it's just down the road from where he works.
And I... Since I don't go back to work until Wednesday, I'll be taking advantage of two baby-free days to run a whole stack of errands.
- I need to have my doctor fill out a form saying it's okay for me to go back to work.
- I need to give the hospital Penny's insurance information, so they can bill the right people for Penny's neo-natal care. ("Thr right people" = "Not Matt and me")
- I need to go to the bank. I have three disability checks I haven't cashed yet, and I need to re-work the division of my direct deposit paycheck so more money goes into the joint account to cover Penny expenses. (Daycare is kind of expensive. Not to mention diapers and formula and such.)
- I've got some film negatives from pictures my brother took when Penny first came home from the hospital - I need to take them to a photo lab and order reprints of the ones I like.
- I've got a pack of "newborn" size diapers that I need to take back to Target and exchange for the next size up. And while I'm there, there are a few other little items I need.
- I need to get a new cell phone. The battery connection on mine is a little wonky, so that just lately, about every other time I move the phone at all (including doing things like picking it up to answer it or pushing buttons) it turns itself off.
- And I need to scrounge together all the maternity clothes that I'm getting rid of and take them to the DAV thrift store, or the baby-stuff secondhand shop.
Busybusybusy. But all these things would take about three times as long if I was taking care of Penny, too. As much as I'm sure I'll miss her... Yay, daycare!
