Do take a look at that timestamp. No, it's not wrong. Yes, I'm posting this at somewhat past 2am.

Penny's sick. At least, I can only hope it is the fact that she is sick that is causing her to refuse and reject sleep - it indicates some future time that Matt and I will be able to sleep again.

Actually, she is sleeping now, on my lap, but the lessons of the past four hours or so have taught me better than to believe she might continue sleeping for more than a few minutes if I put her down.

She has an appointment with the pediatrician in... seven hours. I am praying that we will be given some medicine for her. Some sleep-inducing medicine.

In the meantime, I am sitting with her downstairs, where it will be less likely to disturb Matt if she wakes up and fusses. The longer he can sleep, the longer he'll be able to care for her later and let me sleep...

Did I mention that I was sick, too?

Yeah.

I'm thinking that this weekend may not be the restful respite I was hoping for...
