A Mooving Conversation

Just for Karen, the Goddess of Puns, a bit of conversation from earlier today...

<KT> brb, computer throwing a cow
*** SignOff: KT
<Liz> I hope it didn't throw it too far... Their apt isn't very big.
<Matt> It might have just been throwing Kevin's little stuffie Gateway cow.
<Liz> Oh, well, I suppose that would be okay.
<Jeff> LOL, I was thinking along similar lines but didn't want to be the one to make the comment.
<Liz> And why not?
<Matt> Cowed by a bad joke, perhaps.
<Liz> That was a very mooving pun, Matt.

<Matt> It behooved me to make it.
<Liz> It was wonderfully, udderly, awful.
<Matt> Had you herd it before?
<Liz> Nope. You should milk it for all it's worth.
<Matt> Cool. I'll take the bull by the horns.
<Liz> They probably heard my groan all the way up to Jersey.
<Matt> Okay. I'll cud it out.
<Liz> Oh, no, I love puns. It's just a good thing I wasn't taking a sip of tea when I read it, or I'd still be calfing.
<Matt> As long as I'm not getting too low for you.
<Liz> Nah; if you were, I'd be sure to hide.
<Matt> Heifer gets that bad, though, just say something.
<Liz> The day I do is the day I need to be put out to pasture.
<Matt> (sorry about all this, Jeff. I hope it beefs up your tolerance.)
<Liz> I'm sure Jeff is fine. He's sat through our stock of puns before.
<Matt> we do have our special brand of amusements.
<Liz> True. It was nice of you to ox.
<Matt> I didn't mean to yoke you into such a long exchange, though.
<Liz> No, no, it was entirely my fault for steering the conversation in this direction.
<Jeff> ::chuckle:: I just wish I was calf as good at this as the rest of ewe.
<Liz> Good heavens, Jeff's plowing new ground with other livestock!
*** KT has joined
<KT> hello again
<Liz> Thank god you're back. I don't know how many more cow puns I could have come up with.
<Matt> I'd pretty much gone dry, too.

And then they said...

OW... talk about Angused English. And this just after I spent my last ten minutes getting ribbed for buying this book for our strongly suburban library. But, hey, I mean... some people around here EAT cows, so... don't look at me like that! It got GREAT reviews!!! Ah, well. To err is human. (To moo, bovine.)
